About the role
Join the School’s team of Human Resource specialists, known internally as the Employee Engagement Department. The team is dedicated to providing a full range of HR services to all our employees across 4 campuses, and developing processes and systems to enable effective and optimal HR service delivery. We want to deliver exceptional customer service, and are comfortable with innovation / trial and error, whilst always seeking to develop and streamline, with a focus on continuous improvement.
With varied responsibilities, in a typical day you might:
- Participate in an interview panel for a Gardener, Teacher, Marketing professional or any of our diverse positions,
- Review the Enterprise Agreement or Award to answer a query about terms and conditions,
- Collaborate internally on a policy or project under development,
- Plan an induction or other training sessions,
- Creatively develop a strategy to attract boarding staff,
- Complete a proposal to pitch a new idea that you have,
- Conduct a misconduct investigation,
- Prepare a return-to-work plan,
- Meet with a team member who would like to explore flexible work options or who is seeking advice on how to have a challenging conversation with a co-worker; and/or
- Work with a Manager to plan the follow up session for their team’s engagement and wellbeing survey results
About you:

A strong knowledge of industrial and employee relations
- An ability to lead and coordinate projects
- A strong understanding of organisational development and talent management
- Experience in developing policies and procedures
- A positive attitude and an authentic, passionate, resilient, courageous, curious and compassionate character
- Your high level interpersonal and relationship management skills, customer focus and ability to fulfil multiple functions concurrently and effectively will enable your success in this position
