We believe in prioritising wellbeing, adventure, creativity and academic rigour, and we value wisdom. Timbertop is Geelong Grammar School’s Year 9 full boarding campus, located in Victoria’s high country near Mansfield, Australia which offers a full academic and outdoor education programme designed to take advantage of the magnificent natural environment.    The Timbertop Chaplain is part of the Chaplaincy Team headed by the Senior Chaplain based at our Corio campus along with the Authorised Lay Chaplain.  This role provides pastoral care, education and spiritual guidance to approximately 245 students along with staff in this close-knit community. We are seeking an ordained Anglican Chaplain who can provide leadership to the Christian life of the campus, both formally in the daily services within the School Chapel and informally within the School community.  The successful candidate will have appropriate theological and academic qualifications and be actively involved in our pastoral care programme.  Although not mandatory, the Chaplain will ideally be eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) and able to fulfil the Proficient Level in the AITSL standards.  It would be an advantage if applicants are able to teach Religious Studies. The ability to communicate effectively with young people, members of staff and the wider school community is essential.  The Chaplain is an active member of the school’s community and participates in both internal and external community service programmes.
